03/04/2022
(Alexandria, La) - The ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Parish School District continues to monitor Covid-19 cases, and after the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ voted 8 - 1 in Wednesday night's board meeting, it has been decided that face coverings and masks will not be required for students who have been identified as close contact with a confirmed positive Covid-19 case.
Additionally, effective immediately, face coverings are no longer required on school buses. This decision aligns with the recommendation from the CDC released on February 25, 2022, that stated that the "CDC is exercising its enforcement discretion to NOT require that people wear masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs."
