European University Institute

The European University Institute (EUI) is the leading institute in Europe dedicated to social sciences and humanities. Founded in 1972 by the six original members of the then European Communities, the EUI has earned a reputation as a transnational hub of research and higher learning.

This subject-specific exchange partner is suitable for students in the following subject area(s) only:   

  • History (PhD)
  • Law (PhD)
  • Politics and International Relations (PhD)

This institution is only suitable for PhD students. It is not suitable for Classics or Archaeology students.


Teaching is available in English.  Students should be able to take a full course load in English at this institution.
