Haute école des arts du Rhin (HEAR)

Haute école des arts du Rhin, is a public higher education arts school. Based in Mulhouse and Strasbourg, its aim is to promote an original model of artistic education that encourages the porosity and synergy of the arts. It has around 750 students and 150 teachers on three sites, and offers 20 diplomas and courses.

This subject-specific exchange partner is suitable for students in the following subject area(s) only:

  • Art - Fine Art
  • Design - Illustration
 
Please note that Illustration students may apply for Full Year or Semester 1 only exchanges, not not for Semester 2 only exchange.  

Teaching is in French.  Students will be expected undertake teaching entirely in French at this institution so must meet minimum language requirements.

HEAR does not have on-campus accommodation in Mulhouse or Strasbourg. However, the International Office can provide a list of offers for shared flats or apartments to rent (mostly offers from their outgoing students).  You may also be able to reserve a room in the Strasbourg student residence (Paul Appell) through the HEAR International Office.

HEAR advise that some private owners can be reluctant to rent a room for only one semester.
