KU Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) is a Catholic research university, founded in 1425 with campuses in Leuven and nine other Flemish cities, including Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and Bruges.

KU Leuven has the double honour of being the oldest university in the Low Countries and the oldest extant Catholic university in the world.
