Universität Augsburg

The University of Augsburg was founded in 1970. Since then, the university has successfully developed into a comprehensive university with eight faculties and orientated its own profile to the challenges of the present and future.

From the host institution:

Research and teaching benefit from the amenities that a campus university entails. Apart from the Medical Faculty, all facilities are in a compact location south of Augsburg city centre, which includes a spacious park landscape including a "Uni-See" (university pond). Short distances ensure easy exchanges between students, staff and researchers. We are proud to have a diverse student body with around 9% international students.

As the third biggest city in Bavaria, Augsburg offers an ideal mix of big city flair with plenty of night-life options and festivals, and a peaceful small-town cosiness. Augsburg is very green, as it is surrounded by nature such as the city forest and numerous lakes. And for hiking and skiing, the Alps are only an hour and a half away.
