In the US state of Missouri, Washington University’s Danforth Campus houses undergraduate studies in Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Art and Architecture. The Danforth Campus is located in St. Louis County and faces Forest Park, a 1,300 acre urban park that contains the Saint Louis Zoo, the Saint Louis Art Museum, the Missouri History Museum, the Science Center, and many other attractions, all of which are free. The Mississippi River and downtown St. Louis city are approximately 7 miles due west and easily accessible by public transportation or bicycle. Course availability and course catalogues Exchange students select up to seven courses, prioritized with the most important courses on top. Washington University in St Louis will review the course choices and work to enroll students in as many of their preferred courses as possible. Students can adjust their schedule and make final decisions on courses during the drop/add period after arrival. Exchange students should select primarily courses in their academic division or school. Students may choose from on-campus or off-campus housing managed by Washington University’s Office of Residential Life or seek independent off-campus housing. On-campus housing consists of residence halls and some apartments. Students living in on-campus housing must purchase one of the several different meal plan options. Washington University in St Louis also offers off-campus furnished apartments that are managed by the Office of Residential Life. These can be shared or individual apartments and are within walking distance of campus and close to public transportation. Students living in off-campus apartments purchase a minimal meal plan. Private accommodation Exchange students may choose to live in a shared or individual off-campus apartment not managed by Washington University in St Louis. Apartments are frequently unfurnished, but furniture can be rented for the exchange period. Off-campus housing can be arranged prior to arrival or after arrival. This is calculated based on how much average costs for accommodation, meals, health insurance etc. will cost. This includes proving access to funds through personal funds, or family or sponsorship funds. The amount to show is around $32,000 in total. This can be across multiple sources.
