Founded in 1905, the USC Viterbi School of Engineering is named for Andrew Viterbi who developed an algorithm to connect the world’s citizens. Important links Key information for students Computing, Engineering Exchange Incoming international exchange students to the USC Viterbi School of Engineering may take any Viterbi Engineering courses, as long as they meet any applicable pre-requisites for each selected course, and as long as space permits. Students must take at least 12 units of Viterbi school courses. Any other courses taken outside of the Viterbi School of Engineering is permitted as long as 12 units are with Viterbi courses, any pre-requisites are met, and space is available. Incoming international exchange students must find their own housing accommodations, whether on or off campus. Exchange students may apply for USC Housing.
